We made cookies for dad

Eli and I got to spend some days together all by ourselves when everyone else was at school this year.

What kid doesn't love to crack eggs and dump flour?

All kids treasure time spent with their parents, but I suppose when there are more siblings to divide time by it is even sweeter.  They are so different when they are not around each other, too.

We made Dave's favorite - Oatmeal Raisin - and he even got to have some!

Teeny weeny garden...

I think it is funny that a Bobcat had to be used for this project.  I mean, yeah I sure wasn't going to dig that with a shovel... but really?  Any excuse for playing with big toys...

I didn't get many pictures of the project because while I did not have to dig much I was the one operating the shovel :)

Okay, Chanse helped too.

Ta da!  Now - I've already been researching what I'll put in this cute little thing.  I really only wanted to plant a garden so I could do this.  I have no idea why I want to try it, but I REALLY do.

Dave says we should put in another one.

I think he just wants to use the Bobcat again.

As it is for now.

Yep.  It's orange.  I picked it out.  It's okay.  I wouldn't pick this color again - the picture that I saw it in doesn't look like this - but right now there is a lot of light coming in!  Hoping things will look better once we get things back on the walls.

Another look at the old.  Man, that was so ugly :(

Sitting on the couch and looking through to the entry way the two colors compliment each other well.

I really love white base and trim.  We haven't picked up the window trim yet.  We knew we wouldn't get it all on in the same day, and it wasn't on sale!  My kids hear that line from me all of the time.

The carpet is new too.  It is very colorful, and fluffy.  The littles took off their shirts and rolled around on it the first time they saw it... simple joys!

So that is it for now.  We spent last weekend putting in a teeny raised bed for a teeny garden.  Sure was a lot of work for what it is but it's cute, and I like it :)
I'll show you next time.

And the paint goes on...

I love a man that can paint.  If he couldn't, then I'd have to, and I really don't like to take the lead role in this department!  Dave cut in around the ceiling, and I rolled the walls.  You didn't think I'd show you the color yet, did you?  ;)
