Mother's Day

Yes.  I really meant Mother's Day.  This post has been sitting in my drafts since shortly after Mother's Day.  Life got... you know that 'b' word.  I can't even type it.  That's how much I dislike that word.
Anyway, I had a great Mother's Day with the kids in the back yard.  We all bounced around on the trampoline, then they took turns on the tree swing.

Then the dog got out... again.  Grrrr...
Fun was over.  Charish and I finally got him back in with help from our neighbor and her Pit Bull.  Snickers chose the safety of his own back yard over getting friendly with Karma.  Ha ha.
Chanse grilled out burgers for us and everyone went to bed.  Including me.

S3733 Salem Ridge Road

Now you have no excuses for not sending me your Christmas card :)

This (Lord willing) is going to be our new address
We have offered to purchase this 4 acre plot and it has been accepted.  Our house also has an accepted offer.  So now we are working on plans to build a home in the country in the school district that our kids go to!  It has been a long time coming!

There isn't much here now.  A pile of windows, a wagon with grape vines.  Sorry again for the bad pictures. It was a really bright and humid morning.  You can tell I never made it to that class!
There is also a cement slab already here which we will use to build our first home.  It is very small for a family of 7 but with only a couple months left before school starts again we are hoping that it can be accomplished!
This is where our inspiration started, but it will actually look much different than this:
When our real house is finished this will be 'the shop' where Chanse can do what boys young men do with tools and motors and stuff.
We are learning so much about the building process.  Most of all that it is slow going, and there are a lot of people involved that you must wait for.  Patience.  We have a love-hate relationship.
